Hi I'm Yasser

I grew up in Mexico. I moved to the US when I was12. I am an immigration attorney. I am husband and a father. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I immigrated to the United States at the age of twelve from Mexico. I am a lawyer that actually likes his job. I am an immigration attorney. I help families to be united accross borders. I love to play basketball, go hiking and camping. Most of all I love my family and the Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eighteen years old I noticed that something was missing in my life. I had some friends that were LDS and I always noticed that there was something different about them and the way they lived their lives. I was not interested in changing religions. My friend Sarah invited me to her home to have dinner and have a lesson about what they believed in. I could not deny what I felt as her father, Pres. Warnick, talked about the book of Mormon and what it meant in his life. I decided to read it myself. After one week of reading the book, I invited myself to join them at Church. It was a fast and testimony meeting and I felt the Spirit confirmed to me that the Church was true. I went up to the missionaries the next week and asked them what I needed to do to get baptized; so that I could go on a mission in 1yr. I accepted Jesus into my life and was baptized on June 16th, 1996 in Orange County, California

How I live my faith

I strive everyday to follow Jesus, rely upon his grace for strength and serve him. In the Church I am a Venture Leader for Scouts and a youth leader. I teach young men ages 16-19 on Sundays.
