Hi I'm Randy

I love being a husband and father. I own and operate a family business from home. I love to hike, fish and ski. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a job and I work just like everybody else. I'm married and our kids are raised and going to college. Besides my wife being my greatest love, a close second is my love for being outdoors. I like to explore, to hike and ski. The four seasons are my best friend because every three months the world changes and its always for the better. In the fall I ride dirt bikes in the forests with friends. In the winter I ski and feel crisp, clean air when everything is asleep. Spring is my favorite time to see everything beautiful awaken and come back to life again. Summer is the time hike and celebrate with family and friends to see the beauty of this world around me. My favorite place is atop any mountain where I can see for hundreds of miles and feel how small I am in comparison. I like to watch clouds drift by and keep track of the power of nature with its snow, rain and thunderstorms. The world is a huge place where I can see God's handiwork everywhere I look. I feel part of a great plan as I gaze out across mountains, rivers and at night, stars. Is there any doubt about a God? Not when you stand on a mountain top or view the stars at night.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I have found nothing else that comes remotely close to the whole truth about life, liberty and my pursuit of happiness. I see pieces of the truth in other religions but I have found sincere truth in this church and the wisdom of its leaders to lead my life in the way God wants me to through holy scriptures. I believe that God can make more out of my life than I can by myself, so I listen and test what I read and hear and little by little its been given to me to understand who I am and what is my purpose here on earth. Through this church I know the answer to all of life's basic questions without doubt, fear or misunderstanding. I know who I am, where I came from and where I am going. I know the plan of happiness from our Heavenly Father is for us to trust His plan and be faithful to my God, my wife and my children. I must endure to the end of my life and work to better myself at each change that comes into my life.

How I live my faith

In the Mormon faith we volunteer our time, our talents and our faith to serve each other. We the members are called upon on to bless others. We the members speak in church, teach the lessons, clean the church, gather the tithes and do all things without pay. We know that we the members will grow to be like God as we serve others through the organization of the church. Service to others means, helping the Boy Scouts of America to raise funds for camp outs and outdoor activities. It means cleaning up trash on Make a Difference Day each year in October. It means through the Priesthood I hold I can bless my family when they are sick, have trouble at their job or simply need someone to support and listen to them. (Usually my wife handles this part the best) but seriously the person who grows is the one who is preparing the talk. It is the one who is teaching the lesson . It is the one who is doing so without expectation of reward or money. It is a seven day a week religion. Anything else is not able to create the devotion to change ones live because you must know it is true and it is founded upon truth, plain and simple from the scriptures.
