Hi I'm Daniel

My name is Daniel, and I'm a mormon. :)

About Me

I'm 20 years old. I am from northern Utah and come from a family of seven. There are four boys and one girl. My parents are the two greatest people I know. They are great examples to me. My siblings are my best friends! I love spending time with them. I also love to play basketball and soccer. Soccer is my favorite. I'd play all day if I could. I went to Weber State University. I have my EMT and plan to go into medicine. I love studying about the miracle of the human body. I enjoy fly fishing. I love spending time at our family cabin in Idaho. I love to hang out with friends and have a good time! I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in Iowa. I love it! We get to meet new people and share the message of the gospel all day everyday. What could be better?! :) I have had so many life changing experiences on my mission. I've met so many incredible people. I have a strong testimony of prayer and the love that Heavenly father has for each one of us. I know that Christ lives. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and am so grateful for the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel because of the happiness it has brought my family and the direction it has given me. I am grateful to have been raised in a home with the gospel. My parents are the two greatest people I know and their example in living the gospel has shaped my life. I know that God answers prayers. I know that we are here in life for a reason. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church on the earth and it brings so many blessings, but more than anything, it brings peace. In this chaotic and crazy world, the gospel brings peace, hope and happiness. That's why i'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith by sharing it with everyone I talk with. As a missionary I get to teach and learn about the gospel and about Jesus Christ everyday. We get to share the message of the Restoration of the Gospel with anyone who will listen. We also get to work with the ward or branch members to find their friends and family who are searching for the truth. I get to be a representative and messenger of Jesus Christ all day everyday. It is amazing and I love it!

In whom should we have faith?

Our faith is centered in Jesus Christ. Without the atonement and His life we would have nothing to believe in. His atonement makes all other aspects of the gospel possible. He is the foundation. Our faith in Him leads us to live so we can be closer to Heavenly Father. Through him we recieve eternal life! Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Grace is the enabling power of Jesus Christ. My favorite part about Atonement is that it is not only what saves us at the end of the road. Christ mercifully empowers and sustains us throughout our lives. He succors us and comforts us throughout, as well as pays the debt of our sins at the judgement. "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows... But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53 Show more Show less
