Hi I'm Allison

I enjoy being a homemaker and a mom. Most of my talents and skill have been developed from serving in my church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from highschool voted "the most creative". throughout my life my creativity has brought me many opportunities and fulfillment. I have enoyed being a stay -at-home-mom. Raising 5 kids and being envolved in their lives is one avenue that I have needed alot of creativity. I have also enjoyed serving in the church with the children, teenagers and the women. I have organized and led many classes in the church such as; book groups, quilting, sewing, parenting, time management, scrapbooking as well as taught gospel lessons. I have planned many youth activities and been a part of big events with dancing, singing and drama. I guess I could say the my life is my family and friends. That's what I do!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family so I was taught the doctrine of the church very early. I began to discover that many people didn't believe as I did when I was in junior Highschool. I loved church, I loved learning the gospel and it was hard for me as I got older to feel different around my friends because of my beliefs. They didn't seem to have the same joy and light that I felt. Their worldly standards didn't seem to give them direction and purpose. I began to embrace mormonism more valiantly because of how the teachings and the activity made me feel. I had peace about who I was and what I was on this earth for. I had no doubts only answers. I first got a testimony about the Book of Mormon when I was a freshman in High School. I read it with the purpose of proving it wrong. I had just the opposite experience. My soul was filled with peace and love. I knew this ancient record was from God to me. Now as I study this book it feels like coming home.

How I live my faith

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Everything we do is about following Jesus. We pray in His name. We worship in His name. We study His doctrine and follow His leaders here on the earth. I try to be like Jesus in all that I say and do. I believe that I am guided by the spirit and I search for solutions to life's problems. He is teaching me His divine character through the challenges and opportunities I am given. My Faith is strengthen when I am involved with others who believe and live as I do. My Ward is my family and we carry one and others burdens. As I serve in the church I am confidant that I am helping to build a Zion people starting with me. Having Christ as an example of how to live is a great motivation for my life. I am grateful for the blessings of my membership in His church.
