Hi I'm Jen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three. I am lucky that I get to stay home with them. I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and children. I also love music and like to watch movies. I served a mission to the Dominican Republic.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and always accepted it to be true until I became a teenager and was challenged to know for myself. I began praying and reading the Book of Mormon. My senior year of high school I gave a Book of Mormon to a friend. She wrote me a letter telling me all the reasons the church was not true. I researched and prayed about each of her points and gained a stronger testimony that the church was true. A few years later when I had to teach our beliefs to others on my mission, my knowledge and testimony was solidified and I cannot deny its truth. I not only know the truthfulness of the gospel, I love it.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday, my husband and I take our three small children to church. Anyone with small children knows how difficult it is to take them somewhere where they need to be quiet. Each week it gets easier as they learn and understand more about the church. We also try to have a time each day where we sit down together and read from the scriptures and pray together. I feel this helps show my children the love we have for them and also for our Savior. Right now I have been asked to lead the choir. I grew up around music and learned how to play the piano but never was in a choir. So, this has definitely become a learning situation. However, it is wonderful because it has given me the opportunity to learn a new skill I wouldn't have done on my own.
