Hi I'm Brian

I'm a husband, father, and Lego enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While I was born in Salt Lake City, I only lived there for three weeks before moving to Colorado. I spent the majority of my growing up years near Denver relishing the sight of the Rocky Mountains. As a youngster, my brother and I would spend hours playing in our Legoland in the basement. We had a whole city constructed of Legos and took our responsibility for caring for these plastic citizens very seriously. I enjoy basketball, soccer and skiing, but my favorite experience is to feel God's presence in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, my parents taught me important priciples around working hard towards goals. As a result of their support and God's graciousness in my life, I found a good measure of success during High School. Interestingly, I seemed to have everything that a High School senior could want -- good grades, attractive girlfriend, extracurricular accolades -- yet, I felt empty. My spiritual renaissance occurred as a freshman in college. Away from home for the first time, I determined that I needed to find out how best to conduct my life. I studied the Bible and Book of Mormon. As I opened these conduits for God to come more fully into my life, I realized I'd found what I had been missing -- a deep relationship with God. With my life now full, I felt an immense desire to share this happiness with others. I went on a mission to French-speaking Switzerland and southern France. There, I had the opportunity to help others understand what I had discovered - that God had a plan for us, Jesus Christ had restored his church on the earth again with living prophets, and if we would do as God asked, we could achieve our full potential in this life and the life to come. Ever since then, I've been amazed at how much love, patience and mercy God has extended to me. I'm a Mormon because I've feel time and time again the peaceful assurance through the Holy Spirit that I'm on the right path back to God's presence.

How I live my faith

I can't imagine living my life without God. I don't know how people can do it. I find that the only way I can feel true happiness amidst the challenges of life is through faith in His son, Jesus Christ. I strive to live my life around principles of integrity, service, gratitude and caring for others. My hope is that through my example, others will have a desire to know more about God and Jesus Christ.
