Hi I'm Larry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a boy, I was able to hike through many trails in the western nation parks. My favorite park is Yellowstone. I enjoy the clean air and seeing the wonders of nature. An important part of my life was my service in the United States Navy. During those six years, I was able to travel to many parts of the world. During these travels, I found that everyone has a common love for family. Today, I work for a large corporation as a software developer. I enjoy being able to provide different groups software solutions that improve various business processes.

Why I am a Mormon

I had grown up as a member of the mormon church. I became less active with the church during my college years. When I was in the Navy, a member of the church asked me to help visit some members in the church. I was impressed when he presented a lesson to the children in the family, the parents would listen closely. Everyone gained from this man's efforts. I began to read the Book of Mormon while on deployment and felt that the book was scripture just as the Bible is scripture. After returning from deployment, my friend helped answer many of the questions that were bothering me about the church.

How I live my faith

Over the years, I have served in various positions in the local church. I really enjoy the opportunity as a home teacher to visit other members of the church. Building friendships with other people is important. Talking about family and the promises of the gospel that we will be reunited with our families after we leave this life brings great peace and joy. I keep remembering my experience in the Navy, where I learned that people thoughout the world have a common bond of family.
