Hi I'm Seth

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Central Phoenix. I was the middle of 5 kids. I had great parents who loved us, taught us work ethic and moral principles. When I was 6, our entire family moved to Monterrey, Mexico because my parents were asked to be missionaries. I have great memories of that experience. We came back to Arizona after the mission. Then, when I as 19, I went to Honduras, Tegucigalpa and worked for two years as a missionary. I came home and went to Arizona State University. I chased this incredibly gorgeous girl who eventually became the mother of my children. Her name is Colleen and we have 4 children and we are expecting our 5th baby. Today, I spend time as a project manager in a land development company. We also have a rental property portfolio. I love surfing, camping, outdoor activities, building stuff, learning new things, eating sushi, playing sports, and reading. I love spending time with my family. I love watching my kids grow and learn. I love spending time with my wife, who is my best friend. I love being happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I prayed to God in my late teenage years and I was told this religion was true and was for me. The church provides a very strong social, emotional, educational, and spiritual support system. There is continual emphasis on being the best you can be in all areas of life. The church cares that I am a successful father, husband and bread winner. I am a Mormon because I feel close to my Savior Jesus Christ by being an active member of this faith. Our church is run by volunteers. When I was in the youth program as a young man, I was helped by great people who really cared about me. They didn’t get paid to help out. They genuinely wanted me to be successful and happy. Later on in life, I was asked to help the youth program as a leader. I loved taking our group of 13 guys who were old enough to drive on great experiences like our annual surf trip to San Diego. It is an amazing experience to help someone find the Savior Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I have seen many miracles in my day because of my commitment to be dedicated to the Lord. These spiritual experiences provide a great reservoir of faith for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by keeping promises or covenants I made to the Lord at baptism and in the Holy Temple. I live my faith by trying to follow Jesus’ example and live by His teachings. I work daily to try to flood my life with light through prayer, scripture study, and family time. I go to church every week with my family. I try to be a supportive and encouraging person to everyone I meet. I try to help people who may be facing difficult times. I am faithful to my wife and I adore her. I am constantly trying to help my kids grow up to be positive contributors to society and to be strong and faithful. I live my faith by serving others in the church and in my community.
