Hi I'm Janeen

I'm a wife to one. I'm a mom to four. I'm busy 24-7. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We are six strong: two big people, four little people (ranging in age from 6 months to 7 years). We are seriously outnumbered and we are very aware of it. We spend most days wondering what happened to the day and trying to find all the great adventures that we can…hopefully creating some lasting memories in the process. I get to stay at home and mother these amazing children. I get to be challenged far beyond what I could gain anywhere else. Sometimes that's a blessing, sometimes that a curse! But always it's a gift to share in their lives. Our family didn't grow only through convential ways. We were blessed to adopt our third child and intertwine him into our family. He has brought a great amount of 'faith building' experiences into our lives and we are so grateful for him. We have witnessed many great tender mercies for the Lord by having him join us. I find little time to really venture into hobbies and personal interests but hopefully sometime in the future, when I get my life back in full capacity, I am sure I will still only want to be a mom. But I would be a mom that earns a black belt in karate or can read a book front to cover without interuptions or I would write in a journal and record this amazing adventure I have been on.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because there is no other place where I can understand and be closer to my Heavenly Father. Being Mormon gives me hope and encouragement that I have an active Father waiting for my return. He's waiting with open arms to hopefully say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Even though I am sure I don't perfectly faithfully follow, I have a Savior that helps make up where I fall short, this gives me hope. I know Him, Jesus Christ, by being active in His church under His direction. I know that He leads me and directs me. I know that others are a part of that purpose and plan for me. I know that my Heavenly Father provides for me. I know He chisles and shapes me to be better. Frequently I dislike the molding but my improved self is always grateful for the lessons learned. I know the I am being prepared for something far greater than I can even comprehend. Being Mormon helps me see that, realize that and find support is acheiving that. An eternal life awaits me and I have guidance here and now in His gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith...weekly, daily, hourly. It's part of everything I do. I don't know how to keep those seperate. I get the chance to help support several Primary programs for small children ages 3-11. They are remarkable human beings that soak up the love of God and reflect that back to us eagerly and completely. As part of that work, I get to plan several activities a year that help these 'little adults' come to know their Savior, Jesus Christ and recognize their divinity as being a Child of God and hopefully encourage and enable them to know Him personally themselves.
