Hi I'm Jason

I am a husband and father of six. I am a business owner, a waterskier and a fan of college sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a dad to my 6 kids who range in age from 16 to 8. I am passionate about all things BYU or Brigham Young University, where I went to college. So autumn means BYU football and winter BYU basketball. I love spending time with my family and we make a real effort to do so. Instead of team sports our kids hang out with us, as we spend time on the lake during the summer and on the mountain in the winter. This allows us to all be in the same place at the same time. Plus it it is great to see the kids progress as they learn to get up on one ski or accomplish some other goal with the whole family cheering them on. I love to waterski myself and I am passing that love along to my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an active Mormon family and I was happiest when I was following the teachings of the church. When I was 18 I had the opportunity to study for 6 months in the Holy Land and gain a strong testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This led me to have a desire to serve the Lord as a missionary for 2 years. I was called to serve the people of Brazil and teach them the principles of the gospel in their own language. By studying the doctrine and teaching it every day I was able to receive a witness of the truth of the message. I also saw the difference in people's lives when they embraced and fully lived the gospel. Today I have built on that faith as I teach my children those same principles. I know that I have found happiness by following God's laws and by understanding better the example of Jesus Christ, and accepting his atonement.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to apply what I know to myself and my family first. I also try to be an example to those I come in contact with as a Christ-like person. I strive to keep my covenants I have made with God and with my family.
