Hi I'm Jason

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in San Diego but now consider Denver to be home. I love the summer time and really enjoy the outdoors.

About Me

I am the father to 4 beautiful children. Right now I am a single dad. I am far from perfect but always do my best to be a good father and a good and honest person. I have lived in Colorado now for around 6 years. My favorite place to go to is the beach, but since there are no real beaches in Colorado, I have to settle with other outdoor activities. During my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and also enjoy playing basketball. I love sports, especially college football and basketball. I attended BYU and my son and I are both big BYU fans. We have tried to explore new places in Colorado and have recently visited a few of the state parks. We have a great time going on drives and hikes in some of these parks. I have been very blessed to have been able to visit many beautiful places around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but really began to gain my own testimony of the gospel around the age of 12. I believe that everyone will come to a point in their life where certain questions will need to be answered, such as is there a God, who am I really, and is there life after death. Life gets way to busy and sometimes confusing. I am eternally thankful that I have been able to gain a deep understanding of the purpose of life. I have found the answers to these questions by attending church and personal study of the scriptures. I was very blessed to have been able to serve a mission for my church. I was a missionary in the country of Taiwan. It has been many years now since I was a missionary, but I will never forget the memories and the friendships that I developed while I was there. I find great peace as I go through life because of the knowledge that I have gained as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am far from perfect, but know that because I have a Savior who loves me and died for me, one day I wil be able to return to live with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

Church is not just a Sunday thing for me or my family. I do attend church every Sunday and enjoy the things that I learn while attending my church meetings. But being a member of this church is far from attending church. It literally encompasses my entire life. I try to do my best to be a good honest person, a good father and good member of this church. Right now I am a scout leader for the 11 year old scouts. My son is 11 so I have a great time with him and the rest of the boys each week. I am also very lucky to be able to help teach church lesson to some of the adult men one or two times per month.
