Hi I'm Phillip

I'm a husband and father. I'm a public servant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband of 11 years to my High School sweetheart who has given me four beautiful boys. I am from a small town in Arizona where I met my wife and I enjoy life. I spent four years serving in the Air Force where I met amazing people and madeendless memories. I returned to Arizona to raise my family in a smaller community. I spent almost two years working Corrections then transfered to a Police Department where I now work as a city Police Officer. I love my work and enjoy going everyday. I love spending time with my family riding ATV's and doing anything that involves outdoors. In my spare time I like to workout in the gym or stay up late watching movies. The things that keep me motivated in life are my religion, church responsibilities, and family.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I did not understand religion and thought that I was alone in that perspective. I had many questions about life and death but could never quite get an answer that sufficed. I can remember praying at meals but never completely knew why. In 1999 I met a young lady (My current wife) who was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS). I have heard the name before but did not know anything about it. One day she invited me to church which I thought could never hurt. While at church I noticed some other members that I went to school with which brought me a since of comfort. During the church meetings I received so many answers to so many questions. The feeling I felt that first day gave me such a sense of peace and understanding that I immediately decided this was what I have been looking for. I was then put in touch with missionaries and a short time later baptized. Being baptized in the LDS Church has been the best decision I have ever made. From there I got married and have since been sealed to my family in the Temple for all time and eternity. My life is truly and honestly complete.

How I live my faith

Over the past 12 years I have had many "callings" or responsibilities in the church. I have been a scout leader, I have been a youth leader, I have been a teacher from youth to adults, I have been in leadership positions, and have been most importantly a missionary. I strive to maintain an image that I can be proud of in and out of church as I represent not only myself but the church. I stay involved in community events especially with my chilren playing so many sports. Collectively I live my life trying to be the best person I can be while being the best example I can be.
