Hi I'm Danny

I grew up in the Kansas City area. I joined the Air Force after High School and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a Nuclear Weapons specialist in the Air Force. My wife and I were married while I was stationed in Oregon and we have five sons and thirteen grandchildren. After the Air Force I went to work for TWA and worked there as a Avionics Tech for 35 years and spent 6 more years with American Airlines after they bought TWA. I retired at the end of 2007 and we moved to Arizona. My wife and I served a two year Mission at the Mesa Regional Family History Center and are now serving as volunteers. My wife works with Patrons and I maintain the Computer Network.

Why I am a Mormon

My wife had joined the Mormon Church before we were married. When the Missionaries taught me I soon realized that some of the doctrine of the Baptist Church were not what I believed. The stories I had been taught from the Bible in Sunday School did not leave me of the view of the Trinity as taught by the Baptist. I had many questions and the Mormon Church had answers that fit with the things I understood from my Sunday School teaching. When I considered these things I had a witness from the Holy Spirit that what the Missionaries were teaching me was true. I was Baptized June 13th 1964.

How I live my faith

The Church had been the greatest blessing in my life. I have served as a Clerk, taking care of Membership records and Finance records. I served for three years as a Scoutmaster. I have taught Genealogy classes and also served as Director of our Family History Library. I am currently in a Leadership position with our Adult Mens Group. My wife and are volunteers at the Mesa Regional Family History Library. We are able to help both members of our Church and non member patrons research their ancestors.
