Hi I'm the Leisher family

We moved to New Mexico 6 years ago from Bend, OR. We have been married for 7 years and have 2 little boys. We are Mormons.

About Me

Fred is a contractor and loves to build and create. He builds houses furniture and recently has been making his own horseshoe art. He likes to hunt, fish, camp, boat, and spend time with his family. Heather is a stay at home mom. In her free time she likes to play tennis and work out with Jillian. Our older boy is almost 6 years old and just started kindergarten. He is a great organizer and a great joy to talk to...he has a very interesting perspective. Our younger boy just turned 4 and loves his older brother and playing with cars.

Why I am a Mormon

We joined the LDS church because there is a strong support structure in place for the growth and strengthening of families. We met some amazing friends when we moved to NM and they were all members of the church. After a lot of lessons with the missionaries and personal soul searching and prayer we decided that it would be right for us to be a part of the church as well. It felt right.

How I live my faith

We participate in lots of different areas of our life. On a personal level we can get our children together for play dates and support in that way. We also enjoying helping those who need it whether by helping split firewood or just making a yummy dessert. We also get to work with the young people who go to the church. It is neat because, since, we are newer members, the kids and teens often share their unique perspective and things that some have been learning their whole life. We have learned ways to store food like canning as well as fun dinner ideas. It is very rewarding to be a part of the Mormon church.
