Hi I'm Ruth!

I am college graduate trying to figure things out. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent college graduate just trying to figure things out. :) There are hundreds of things I can put my time and energy into, and I am trying to focus on the most important things, as well as having fun along the way. I love spending time with my family, playing sports, playing board games, and traveling. I have seen the Lord's hand in my life in everything that I do, and look forward to learning what the next phase in my life will bring! Life is full of fun decisions, and I just love the happiness and freedom that righteous living brings!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have learned of the truthfulness of the gospel from birth, and I was baptized at age 8. However, I truly believe that each person must go through their own conversion process. A time came for me in my life when I needed to decide why I was a member of this church. I had never really doubted the gospel; I always felt good when I prayed, went to church, listened to the prophets, and read the scriptures. But I realized that was not good enough. I decided to find out for myself if the Book of Mormon was true. I read the whole book through, and followed Moroni's challenge at the end and asked my Father in Heaven if the words were true. He gently and lovingly answered my prayer with a feeling of peace. I knew at that moment that the Lord was truly happy that I had chosen to ask for myself, and He blessed me with confirmation of truth. I am (still) a Mormon because I know for myself that the doctrines contained in this church are directly from the Lord, the teachings are pure and true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by scripture study and prayer. I live my faith weekly by attending all church meetings. It is important to me to go to church each Sabbath day to renew the Spirit of the Lord that can so easily get tuned out by the noise of the world. Weekly church attendance gives me a boost to more fully keep the covenants I have made, and the daily time I give the Lord helps me to remember Christ always.
