Hi I'm Lori

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom. I'm married - was sealed in the Mesa, AZ Temple to my amazing husband and we have 3 children sealed to us for time and ALL ETERNITY. I love to hike - we go hiking as a family on EVERY vacation - the kids sometimes don't enjoy it as much as I do. My job is to manage the home life and to provide nurturing for the children. I was baptized at the age of 16. I grew up in a home with one member and one non-member parent. I was taught about the gospel by those who served as teachers in the local ward where I grew up. Those who served diligently would pick me up for church and invite me to special activities. I also went to many other churches with friends as I grew up.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because after taking the missionary discussions partially through several times and then finally the last time all the way through - I was taught what the Spirit felt like and how it testified of truth. I had always felt something special when I attended LDS church activities and meetings - something I had never felt any place else. The family that facilitated those missionary discussions asked me if I felt anything different at their house than I did at my own home. I did! There was a peace in that home and at the church activities and meetings I attended. From that I learned that the Spirit testifies of truth and that the peaceful feeling I felt all those times was the Spirit testifying to me of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ through this organization The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that has the true Priesthood Authority.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the Prophet, attending church meetings, serving others, studying the scriptures, Family Home Evening, family and personal prayer - striving daily to receive personal revelation. I make mistakes everyday - God knows I'm not perfect - He loves me and gives me what is necessary to reach my true potential. I am thankful for the Atonement of my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that as I repent and renew my baptismal covenants I can be forgiven. I know that faith without works is dead - I have a responsibility to serve
