Hi I'm Chet

I grew up in a small town. I love the outdoors and being active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two with one on the way. I love sports, outdoors, and being active, but the thing that brings me the most joy is playing and spending time with my wife and children. I also love working with my hands and for that reason graduated in Construction Management. I am currently an Engineer working on light rail projects in the Western United States.

Why I am a Mormon

I am one of those Mormons that was born into it and I have been a member all of my life. Some, not of our faith, could argue that I may have been brain washed, just a mormon because my parents were, or because I grew up in Idaho and there are a lot of Mormons who live there. I don't feel like I am a Mormon for any one of those reasons. I am a Mormon because my beliefs make me who I am...HAPPY. I feel peace as I live the principles I have grown to love. Some people think I am trapped and have no freedom to live a fun life. I say I am free because I feel at peace with how I live my life and therefore, can enjoy all aspects of it. Have I made mistakes? Of course, but I have been able to change and go back to being happy by living an uprightgood life. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try and live my life in a way that brings others happiness. I have found that as I serve others and strive for there wellfare...I benefit the most. Some of the ways I perform this service is organized and done as a group of church or community members, while other ways are spontanious, such as offering a hand to those in or outside of our faith while travelling along in daily life. I enjoy talking, and singing to the elderly as well as speaking and being a good example to young people. It is enjoyable to get to know people in all walks of life and help them in there journey for happiness.
