Hi I'm Chantal

I was born and raised in France. I now live in Arizona. I am a grandma to 3 grandchildren. I love to travel and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in France. I have lived in the United States since 1978. I am married and have 4 children. I now have 3 grand children and 2 on the way! I love to be a grandma and try to see my grand children as much as I can eventhough they all live in different states. Thank goodness for skype! I think it is a requirement for all grandmas so they can keep up with them and see how much and how fast they change! I love to travel and learn about different cultures. I am currently teaching French to adults with whom I love to share my culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in France so was raised catholic. I even attended a private catholic school. I met the missionaries while I was in Wales working as a nanny. I had never heard of the Mormon church so when the missionaries knocked on my door, I didn't know who they were. I wasn't too interested in their message because I wasn't looking for another church but I told them to come back. The more they taught, the more I could feel that there was something different about them. They seemed happy and at peace. I was impressed with their honesty and their sincerity. I knew they truly cared about me and wanted me to be happy too. I didn't think a new church would make me happier than I already was but again I felt something different when I was with them. I felt good and their teachings made sense to me. After returning home, I continued to be taught by other missionaries and then one day after praying about the Book of Mormon, I knew that it was the word of God and so if the book of Mormon was true, Joseph Smith was a prophet! I finally understood who I was and what my purpose was. I had always wondered about the purpose of our lives and even asked several people but nobody seemed to care or even wonder about it. But I had to know. The Gospel of Jesus Christ answered my questions and it all makes sense. Our Heavenly has a beautiful plan for us and wants us to return to Him because He loves us.

How I live my faith

Since I have joined the Church, I have learned and grown so much! I have done things that I never thought I would ever do, like teach a class of children, teenagers or adults! I have learned many homemaking skills so I could better take care of my family. But what I love the most is the way we love and serve each other and even those that are not memberts of our faith. This is why we are here. To serve each other and as we do that, we become more like our Savior Jesus Christ.
