Hi I'm Kendra

I grew up in Colorado and love living in the mountains. My husband and I have 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a nurse, but currently I have been blessed to have an even better job - a stay at home mom. I love to watch football, lacrosse, t-ball, horse riding lessons, and swimming. Or whatever else my kids are involved in. I enjoy playing in the dirt and encouraging my flower and vegetable gardens to grow. I am always finding and preparing new recipes for my family. I try and live an actice lifestyle and I really enjoy going to Jazzercise. Hiking is a relatively new hobby - I have summitted eight 14,000 foot mountains in the past 2 years. As a family we like to hike, ski/snowboard, camp, fish, swim, and play games. At the end of the day I look forward to some quiet time and a good book.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are members and I was baptised when I was eight years old. Being one on 6 children there were Sundays that as least one of us did not want to go. My mom always said we don't have to go - we get to go. We are fortunate that we live in a country where we can exercise our freedom of religion. Even though I grew up active in the church there was a point that I was converted to our beliefs. I can't pinpoint an exact moment in time, it was gradual throughout my teenage years. I know that our church is true and I am thankful for the blessings we recieve when we do what the Lord wants us to do. So when my children complain about going to church, they get the same response that my mom gave me - you get to go.

How I live my faith

I have taught young children in Primary and teenage girls in Young Women. Currently I serve as secretary in Relief Society, our organization for women in the church. I live my faith every day and I hope that I am a good example to my children and those around me. My oldest son is serving a mission in Chile. It has been a wonderful experience for him and our family.
