Hi I'm Jenny

I'm a wife and mother to 4 children. I am a convert to the church and joined at the age of 19, I am the only member in my family.

About Me

My husband and I grew up in Arizona and moved away and both graduated from BYU. Since then we have lived in various states to put him through medical school and residency. We have since moved back to Arizona to be back by family. We love it here! I have 4 children and they are my main responsibility, pride and joy. In my spare time I enjoy running. I have ran several half marathons and am currently preparing for my 3rd full marathon in October. I also enjoy road biking, listening to all types of music, spending time at the lake and soaking up the sun! I love to organize, go to lunch with friends and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

At the age of 19 I was baptized into the church. I grew up in an LDS community and had many Mormon friends that included my best friend Courtney whom I met when I was 8 years old. Over the years I attended various church activities and even church but my parents nor I was interested in getting baptized. Fast forward to my first year of college, a set of missionaries touched me in such a way that I decided to join the church. Exactly six months later I met my sweetheart and six months after that I was married in the Arizona temple. This year will mark my 17th anniversary as a member of the church. The church has brought me not only so many blessings to my life, but I feel it has been a stepping stone to gaining a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

One thing that the church has taught me is the importance of service. I have been on the receiving side of service as well as the giving side. I have tried to make it a goal to reach out to others who are in need whether it is a simple phone call, a meal or even an ear to listen to. I have had opportunities to help a young mother who lost her baby by helping her clean her home and providing meals for her family. I have also brought things such as a simple plate of cookies to welcome someone new in our neighborhood. I have had several responsibilities in the church. I was the activities chairman which helped plan and put on church parties, working with the younger children, including cubscouts and even had the opportunity to work with the young women in the church. I am currently assisting with the adult women organization as a secretary, which I love because I feel I can get to know the women and connect with them in ways I was not able to before. I truely would be lost without the faith of my church in my life. The church has given me purpose as to why I am here and the plan He has for us on the earth.
