Hi I'm Sally

I am an Arizona native

About Me

I love to travel. My favorite place is Hawaii. I could live there very easily. I also love my family. Together my "sweetie" and I have 14 children and 52 grand kids and still counting. I love to cook and bake. I enjoy setting a table with place mats, and have several sets. I am always looking for more. I write poetry. Every year I write a new verse for our Christmas cards. I try to make all our birthday and other cards for family and friends. I was a hairstylist for over 40 years and loved it. I keep this skill from going too rusty by cutting the young Elders and Sisters hair and members of our new ward. It helps me feel use full to be able to use this talent. I enjoy physical activities such as hiking, camping, playing games, stuff like that. I got to play Ultimate Frisbee with the YOUNG single adults... that was so fun for this 60+ woman. I love it when my "sweetie" says "may I have this dance?" and we dance. Some of our kids say we are weird...they should be so weird too. Dancing is fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church Of Jesus Christ Of latter-day Saints is true. I know God lives. I know he loves me. I know he sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to earth to atone for the sins of all mankind if they repent. I know that the Savior was resurrected, and because of the resurrection all will rise from the dead and live again. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, that through him, by the power and authority of God he restored the gospel of Jesus Christ in it's fullness upon the earth. I know that the Book Of Mormon, which was translated from gold plates, is the word of God. I know that the priesthood was restored by resurrected beings who laid their hands upon Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdry and gave them the power to act in God's name. I know we have a living prophet today who receives revelation from God, and has the same power and authority to lead and direct the church. I know this because I have prayed and the spirit has borne witness to me that it is true.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with my "sweetie." In the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania mission. We are serving in New Castle Delaware. It is a spiritual experiences I will treasure all my life. Serving and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ is strengthening my testimony every day. I can only teach what I know so I am continually seeking more knowledge of the gospel and pray for the spirit to guide me. With my "sweetie" I work in the Family History Center in the Newark chapel. I am learning right along with those who come in do do family history. It is such a great feeling to find ancestors and information about them and submit their names for temple ordinances to be performed by me or others. I can not wait to meet these family members and rejoice together.
