Hi I'm Spenser

I'm a Lawyer, I'm a dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo Utah, but have since lived in Texas, California, Panama, California, the Philippines, Utah, France, Belgium, Utah, and Arizona. I enjoy reading, mountain biking, fishing, camping, and watching college football especially BYU. I'm a lawyer by trade and a dad by choice. I love my kids and my wife and they make life worthwhile.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born a member of the Church, I am not a member because of my birth. When I was 13, I read the Book of Mormon in its entirety for the very first time. When I finished the Book, I prayed and asked God if it was true. I had such a feeling of warmth and certainty come to me that the Book of Mormon truly was the word of God that I knew that this was his Church. From that moment on, I knew that this was the true Church. I'm a really logical person and at times things don't always make sense to me, but I cannot deny what I felt when I was 13. Since that time, I've seen the many blessings that come from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how happy it makes me on an individual level. It provides stability to my marriage and guidance for my children. I would truly be lost without it.

How I live my faith

For me religion is more than just a Sunday meeting. I am currently in charge of the Young Mens program in my ward which involves all the young men ages 12 to 18. We hold activities every Wednesday and we also try to do something big evry month like camping. It has been such a blessing to work with these young men as they develop their testimonies of Jesus Christ. Being in the church has helped me develop great friendships across continents.
