Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon. I joined the Church 30 years ago when in Upstate New York. Since, my life has been a pursuit of truth and right.

About Me

I have had a very eclectic education including a BFA in experimental studios, computer and technical courses, and even an MBA. Currently, I am using my technical education in a career in the semiconductor industry. I am getting very close to retiring, where I am planning to use some of that other education either personally or professionally. I love the great outdoors. Hiking is enough adventure for me, but, with my family, I have fossil hunted and dug, rock hounded, and prospected throughout the southwest. My greatest adventure was to search for the lost Rhodes mine in Utah; and yes, I did find it. You'll have to take my word on that because it still lies undiscovered to everyone else.

Why I am a Mormon

This is an easy question to answer. I'm a Mormon because it is true. I say that unequivocally, I know that it is true. Its a pretty incredible thing to say, isn't it. In a world where there is so much diverse opinion and belief about the truth, I am bold enough to say that I know it. I am quite an ordinary person in the grand social scheme of this world, but God has revealed to me personally in such a manner that I cannot deny the gospel of Jesus Christ as taught by the Mormon Church is the truth. I can't imagine that God cares more for me than anyone else on this earth, so I believe that the opportunity is available to all to find out for themselves this truth.

How I live my faith

Now comes the hard part. Not withstanding my wonderful testimony, my life and faith in the Church were a great struggle at times against poverty, misfortune, temptations, and even some addiction. There were lonely years and confusion, as I grew in my faith in Christ, and maturity as an adult. I didn't give up. I never give up. I keep on rolling along. Today, I have a wonderful wife who has filled up my life with real love and tender affection. We married in the Temple over twenty years ago, we married for eternity. My wife and daughter have to me the real value of virtue, that there is power in integrity. I am active in my priesthood. My life has become whole in righteousness.
