Hi I'm Cindy

I am a busy wife, at home mother of eight and an oma. I enjoy nature, volunteering, painting and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a wife, mother of eight children and soon seven grandchildren, family is important to me. My life can be full, busy and very blessed. I am fortunate to have been an at home mom. Being a wife, mother and grandmother are the best jobs ever despite the challenges along the way. We are active in sports, camping, hiking and many other family activities that keep us close. Personally, I enjoy volunteering at my children's schools, painting, gardening, decorating and traveling. With my love of improving and learning, I also attend education classes once a week. The Gospel of Jesus Christ and my family, immediate and extended, help me face challenges with understand, love and hope.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the church yet had to find out for my self that It was true. As a teenager, i did some personal studying and praying. I came to know for myself, through the Holy Ghost, that the church of Jesus Christ was indeed restored through a young prophet. We have a prophet today who receives direction from Jesus Christ to help us with today's challenges. I love searching and pondering the scriptures. When I read them, i feel close to my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. The scriptures have helped me find many answers to real life situations and answers to my personal prayers.

How I live my faith

My testimony continues to grow as I live the Gospel, share and serve. Most of my work in the church has been working with the youth. I am currently over 35 young women, 12-18 years of age. They are so wonderful full of life and love. We have completed many humanitarian aid projects for our community as well as other parts of the world. We have made quilts, building blocks, and activity books for shelters, helped with highway clean-up and collecting canned goods for the local food bank.. Our most resent service was helping several elderly families in our area with yard cleaning up. Fun and rewarding! Our family has also been involved with many community projects, highway clean-up, doing Sunday services at a local rest home, helping with people moving, free-baby sitting, local shelter projects, and delivering meals to shut-ins. As I live my faith, I have discovered that my life is full of peace and joy, with challenges for growth along the way, when I choose to follow our Savior's supernal example of loving, sharing and serving.
