Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 5 (4 girls and a boy). My wife and I have been married 29 years and going. My oldest girl has been married for 2 years. I love sports of all kinds but am particularly a fan of college basketball and of the University of Arizona in particular. I have a degree in vocal performance from the UofA and have sung in opera comapnies around the country. I still perform regularly but my "day job" is in software management.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from pioneer stock, which means that many of my family joined the church in the mid-1800s and came west with the large group when they left Nauvoo. I served a mission for the church in Gautemala in the late 1970s and learned to speak Spanish and Quiche (Mayan). It was while serving as a missionary that my testimony of the Church really grew. I learned to understand the SPirit when it spoke to me. I received a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and of the restoration of the cChurch through Joseph Smith. I gained a testimony of the love of our Savior for all people and that I could, if I tried, be an instrument in His hands.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the young men of our congregation (about 30). We hold activities ranging from boy scouts to Ultimate Frisbee and everything in between! I love to associate with them, they keep me young!
