Hi I'm Katie

I love to laugh. I love being outdoors and trying new things... and I am proud to be a Mormon. :D

About Me

I'm from Rocklin, California. I come from a family of 5 kids and 2 wonderful parents. I am going to school to be a nurse, and someday I will also be a mother :) Exercise keeps me sane! (well, mostly :P) I seriously love nature and think I could spend my whole life on a nice beach. I am passionate about LIVING life and appreciating the miracles around us, and all the wonderful blessings that the Lord has given us!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but I came to the knowledge that this church is true on my own, and in my own time. I didn't know that the church was true until I REALLY read the Book of Mormon. When I did, I felt more joy in my life. I felt like there was so much hope and love in the world around me. It truly changed me for the better, and I felt the Spirit of God testify to me that the Book of Mormon was written by true prophets, and that it is the word of God. I love reading the Book of Mormon, and I learn something new and develop my faith every time I do. I feel closer to my Savior Jesus Christ and my loving Heavenly Father as I read the Book of Mormon, pray, and worship at church on Sundays. Long story short: Why am I a Mormon? Because it makes me happy :D

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing small and simple things daily to better myself and serve those around me. I ACT on the doctrine I know to be true, and am happier as I do it.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

It is so important for us to take care of our bodies so that we can live life the way God intended us to. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we try to take excellent care of our bodies by avoiding harmful substances, and partaking of healthy substances. We follow the "word of wisdom" which is a commandment from God to not use tobacco products, alcohol, coffee, tea, illegal drugs, and other harmful or addictive substances. We also eat balanced diets and get plenty of rest and exercise. As I live the word of wisdom and try to be a healthy person, I see so many blessings that come to me. From just feeling great and having energy to feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit more abundantly in my life... I know that keeping our bodies healthy and free from addictions is what God wants for us. :D Show more Show less
