Hi I'm Kristi

I'm a mother of four children. I am married to my best friend. I live in Austin, Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to four amazing children, the youngest of which was born with Down Syndrome. I am married to a supportive, kind, and hilarious man. And I will forever be grateful to him for supporting me as a stay at home mom. The opportunity I have to watch my children grow and develop into good and humble people is such a gift to me. I studied English in college and have always had a love of both reading and writing. I also enjoy dancing, running, giving service, sewing, crafting and most of all I love a good laugh. Laughter is essential to me! Family is very important to me. I love spending as much time as possible with family both near and far. I believe that families are eternal and I am grateful for that beyond measure.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this Church is true. I was raised in the gospel, but I have found it to be true on my own. It has enriched my life, given refuge through my struggles and trials, and sustained me through the years. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. By reading the Book of Mormon, it can change your life and bring peace to your heart. It has accomplished both in my life. I am a Mormon because I know Christ loves me and each one of us. I know the Atonement is real. Christ knows me personally and my daily struggles and supports me through it all.

How I live my faith

I believe I live my faith daily. To love the Lord is to show Him in your actions every day. I read the Book of Mormon both on my own, and with my family. We pray as a family and I pray on my own daily. It is important to me to stay close to the Lord. Teaching my children who they are--children of God--and why they are here on this earth is very important to me as well. This knowledge helps them reach their full potential. Supporting and guiding my children to have faith in the Lord and to serve those in their community is essential. My family has been blessed in the best way possible. Our youngest daughter was born with Down Syndrome and since her birth our focus as a family has become even more eternally-minded. She is the light of our family. Already she brings peace, humility, patience and love to us. It is important to me to support every and all parents who have children with special needs. In my church, I work with girls ages 8-11 and I enjoy spending time with them--they have such energy and conviction! It is a joy to see their love of life. They are doing their best to find a way in this world. I believe that to live my faith is to help those around me to in any way possible. In this way I can testify of Christ and His love for all of us.
