Hi I'm Darin

I'm one of eight, an army brat, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but didn't live there long. I'm' the third child of eight and as a military brat I've lived a bunch of different places. But currently I'm serving a mission in Arizona. Before my mission I went to college to study pure mathematics. Besides solving differential equations I also enjoy playing music on the piano and French Horn. I love to ballroom dance, and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because, well simply, it is true. This is something I had to learn on my own. It wasn't something that I learned from my parents, friends or church leaders. I gained this witness through studying the Book of Mormon and then asking God if it was from him. The feeling I received was unmistakable and undeniable. The Book of Mormon is from God, and the Church that teaches it is His church once again established on the Earth in its fullness. I also know of the reality of Jesus Christ. I know that he is my Savior. It has been through him that I have found complete and lasting forgiveness from my past mistakes. It was through him that I've been freed from the chains of sin and all the pain and guilt that accompany it. I have found a piece and joy in my life that can not be adequately described in words. I am Mormon because it has been through following Christ that I have found strength to overcome where once I had no hope.

How I live my faith

I live each day striving to follow what I know to be true. Right now my life is devoted to sharing that knowledge and happiness I have. As a missionary I strive to teach others the gospel of Christ, and invite them to make changes that will help them to live a happier life. I live my faith by studying the scriptures, praying daily, and living a christ centered life.
