Hi I'm Cherisse

I'm a stay-at-home working mom and wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 5 years and we have 1 little boy so far. I enjoy being a stay-at-home mom while I work from home as a medical transcriptionist. I enjoy reading (when I get a quiet moment) and outdoor activities. I love to do anything that has to do with the water. I also love learning new things and would attend school all the time if it were practical. Mostly, I love doing things with my husband and son as often as possible!

Why I am a Mormon

I have Mormon pioneer ancestors and was born into an active Mormon family. However, I really became converted to the gospel and my Savior when I was about 18. There were many difficult and confusing things happening in my life just before I turned 17 and I decided to live a life contrary to the teachings of the gospel. What brought me back was my drive for excellence in all that I do and believe. I realized I couldn't achieve the goals I set for my life if I didn't live my life differently. I remembered all that I had been taught and turned my life around. Since then I have been blessed beyond my own imagination because I live how I know my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want me to live. When I compare the feelings I had of loneliness, sadness, darkness, and being lost with the feelings of comfort, happiness, light, and clear direction that I feel now, I am so grateful for My Savior and the Atonement that make it possible for someone like me to make it back to Him someday. I know my Savior lives and loves me and that means everything to me. It helps me through the many trials I have faced and I know it will help me through the many trials I have yet to face! I am so glad I can give the gift of the gospel light to my children as well!

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my Ward as a primary teacher to the 7 and 8-year-olds. I also get to serve on the Relief Society Committee to help plan and carry out activities for the ladies of my ward who are 18 years or older. I hope to keep pushing my boundaries and comfort zones to be a better person to all I associate with an meet. I am not perfect, or even near it, but I do try everyday to live the gospel the best I know how. I am always looking for ways to be a better person to myself, my family, my friends, and my neighbors. It isn't always easy but it has been worth every effort!
