Hi I'm Chris

My father was in the US Air Force so I moved around a lot. I am now a Business Professional and I am a Mormon.

About Me

In my late teens I started moving furniture. I drove many types of trucks including Semi-Tractor Trailers. Afterwards, I joined the military and spent a career in airborne communications on EC135 aircraft. I have always been close to my family even when I was away from home, they were always in my heart and mind. I graduated college with a Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management and a Master's Degree in Management. One day, I met a beautiful and loving woman and we were married in a civil ceremony. She was a Mormon. We have two great boys who always try to do the right things. My youngest is in college studying Bioinformatics. Some of my favorite things are reading (I love reading scripture, Management books, and computer magazines.), traveling, working with computers, cooking, gardening, and genealogy. My most precious moments in life are times spent with family and friends. I also love serving others in whatever capacity I can.

Why I am a Mormon

It was a long journey for me becoming a Mormon. When I was in 1st or 2nd grade I started thinking about God and I formed some ideas about who and what he was. My parents were Roman Catholic so I went to Church there, but I always had questions. I tried to be a good Catholic and went through all the motions. I was an altar boy and even considered becoming a Priest. However, I felt something was missing. So I drifted from Church to Church seeking truth and wisdom. When I married my wife I started studying the Mormon religion, although I had never heard of before, I really liked what I heard and read. After I learned more, especially from the Book of Mormon and about the Prophet Joseph Smith, I knelt in quiet reflection, praying to our Heavenly Father with a sincere desire to know if this was the one true Church. My answer came as a peaceful warmth from within me and I knew at that moment this was our Father in Heavens Church and that the boy Prophet, Joseph Smith was visited by God and His Son, Our Redeemer, Jesus the Christ.

How I live my faith

I have held many positions and had many experiences in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormon Church). What I always find a strong desire to do is share my faith and understanding with others around me. I try to help them live a higher standard; the Lords way. I want them to know they can grow their circle of friends who believe the way we do. I love to teach Heavenly Fathers Plan and give a new understanding of the eternal purposes of God. My capacity in the church always me to take care of the spiritual needs of members of the church. I visit members in the Church, especially the older Mormons, to help them fulfill their needs, give blessings through the priesthood, teach gospel principles to other priesthood holders, ensure resources are available in the Ward for on-going Family History and Temple work. I live my life by the Lord counsel's in Mathew 10:39 "He that findeth his life shall lose it and he that loseth his for my sake shall find it. In other words, when we lose ourselves in a great cause we find ourselves and there is no greater cause than the Lord's work.
