Hi I'm Becky Shivers

I am a mother of 7, and a grandma of 2. I work as an assistant manager at Wal-mart, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the church my whole life. I am a mother of 7 children and I come from a family of 8 children. I have 2 grandchildren from my oldest daughter. I currently have a 19 year old son serving a mission for the church. I enjoy Photography, scrapbooking, ladies nights out and most of all dates with my husband and activities with my children. My favorite calling is serving in the primary. I love to teach little children.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had several things happen in my life to increase my testimony that Jesus Christ lives and loves us. I realized early in my adult life that no matter what I do, my Father in Heaven is here for me if I ask for his help. Too many times I have chosen to take the road alone only to find myself alone and lost. The church is here to help me. My Father in Heaven has given me a modern day prophet to guide us in these latter days. I have experienced enough to know for assurity this is true. I have felt His arms around me when I am going through my toughest times. I have the preisthood surrounding me and my family when I need added blessings and have seen things that only be described as miracles. I have the relief Society sisters which come to my aid whenever i am in need. The church helps me grow to be a better more self sufficient person and even helps me when I am working managing a large number of associates. Through the Gospel I learn to practice being more like Christ. I have the opportunity to serve and gain a stronger relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I want to live my life worthy to be with my family forever, and I know for a surety that I can if I choose the right !

How I live my faith

I serve in my ward by teaching emergency preparedness. I teach sisters to can meats, vegetables and fruits. I also am creating an emergency evacuation procedure to help aid all members of our ward and their surrounding neighbors in case of an emergency. I Help plan social activities and volunteer events for the church. I am assigned 3 sisters to visit monthly and help in time of need. This is called Visiting teaching. I like to sing in the choir when I can.
