Hi I'm Glen

I enjoy sports, especially football. I love Scouting. I'm a Silver Beaver recipient. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a business analyst for a large timber company. I enjoy the outdoors. I really enjoy watching sports, encluding high school, college and professional. As a parent I really enjoyed watching my kids participate in sports, drama, music, etc. Now that they are older, I still enjoy watching other youth that I know participate in worthwhile activities. For the past 30 years I have been involved in the Boy Scout of America programs. I have enjoyed working with youth and training leaders. My wife and I love to travel. I have visited 46 of the 50 states. I am still missing Hawaii, North Dakota, New Hampshire and Maine. I have had a wonderful trip with my wife to Alaska this year, which was our first visit there.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the Mormon faith, I have remained becuse of my conversion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught in the Mormon church. Many times in my life I have felt the promptings from Diety in my life as I have tried to follow the Savior's example. I have had my tesitmony of the reality of Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven strengthened as I have felt their Spirit in my life and received answers to my earnest prayers. In addition to the spiritual conversion that I have as a member of the Mormon church, I have also enjoyed the social and developmental programs that the church offers. The church has programs for personal and spiritual development at all stages of life. I enjoyed learning about the Savior at age 2, and I continue to be taught and strenghtened at age 59. The youth programs and adult programs provide a lasting lifestyle that is enjoyable and rewarding.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by being an active participant in all programs of the church. I am currently a bishop, which is a lay leader for a congregation of around 150 active members. This is my third opportunity to serve other members in this capapcity. Over the years I have worked closely with the youth in the church, helping them learn the Gospel of Jesus Christ and also develop leadership and other strengths that will bless them throughout their lives.
