Hi I'm Sierra

I grew up in Arizona, I love music and going to concerts and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a little bit of a tom boy and also a girly girl. I love to watch and play sports, especially baseball, but at the same time, I love to do makeup and hair. I went to cosmetology school, graduated and got my license about 2 years ago, I like to create different updos and styles. I love to travel and love learning about different cultures and animals. Documentaries are my best friend. I am extremely family oriented, I'm very close to my sisters and to my parents. My biggest ambition in life is to be a stay at home Mom, I love kids! I've been a nanny for an incredible family for 2 years and it's the best job in the world, I love that I can practice my mothering skills before I have childen of my own. My favorite thing to do is laugh. I laugh a lot.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member my entire life but didn't have a true testimony of my own until my family and I took a trip to Nauvoo to see all of the church history sites. We saw and learned many things about the Pioneers and about the struggles and persecution that the prophet Joseph Smith endured throughout his life. We took a tour of Carthage Jail where Joseph Smith spent his last days on this earth. As we walked through the Jail and went through the final eventsof his life the spirit testified to me that he was a true Prophet of God. He went through all of the persecution because the one and only true church needed to be back on the earth for us today. I know without a doubt in my mind that our Father in Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ, visited Joseph Smith as a 14 year old boy and it was because of his incredible amount of faith that he was able to accomplish all that he did. It was because of his faith that he was able to find, translate, and publish the book of mormon. I am so grateful for his example of faith to me and for all that he has done for this church. My life has never been the same since that day. I love the comfort that the gospel gives me. Because of the gospel, I can find hope in my darkest times. Because of the gospel, I know that when a loved one passes away I have the opportunity to see them again. Because of the gospel, I know that although I sin on a daily bases I can be forgiven and be made clean and pure once again through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Because of the gospel, I can marry in the temple and have the opportuniy to live with my family for eternity. Because of the gospel I can be truly happy.

How I live my faith

I've always tried my best to represent the church in the best way possible. I knew that people were watching, especially throughout high school, to see what kind of a person I was. I am constantly trying to be a good example so that people will get the right idea about who I am and what I believe in. When I first graduated high school I taught kids who were 5-6 years old, I did it for 2 years and loved it! Now I teach the women in my ward and it's a completely different experience but I have learned so much because of it. It makes it easier for me to live righteously and live with high standards but to not be prideful about it. I am able to see others as children of God and it makes it easy to love people for who they are.
