Hi I'm Tina

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I lived Iowa 11 years and now lived in Colorado. I am a Mom and a piano teacher I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom, I have 5 children and they are all growing up on me. I teach piano from my home which has allowed me to be a stay at home mom and be able to help with finances. It has been a great blessing in my life. I love teaching and I loving being a stay at home mom. I like to run with friends for excercising, mostly for the visiting time. It is also a good date- one on one with my husband. I like to hike, bike, read, make music and teach others how, sew, do crafts and quilts. I mostly like spending family time whether it is working together or playing a game together. I was born into a family that was not active in the church. When I was 7 years old they became active and I saw the changes they made in their lives for the better. It touched my soul. My Dad baptized me when I was 8 and our family soon after was able to be sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple. I am very grateful to have the gospel in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have gained a testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the fullness of Christ's gospel. The Holy Ghost has borne witness to me many times that these things are true. I know that my Savior loves me and watches over me and my family. I have gained a stronger testimony as I have acted in faith and made good choices. One thing that was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with was losing both of my parents in an auto accident. They were driving from my home to theirs and had a fatal accident that killed them both instantly. I once again asked questions about life after death. I thought I had a testimony of it but losing my parents, I had to search again. The spirit guided me and I found scriptures that touched my soul and also my Dad's Patriarchal Blessing that let me know that the Lord knew best and my parents were now serving a mission on the other side of the veil. A scripture that comforted me greatly was that "All things will work together for your good to them that love the Lord". I am grateful for the scriptures and prayer and for the help the Lord gives us as we turn to Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith serving my Heavenly Father by serving others. I love to help others when I can. I currently work with the children and teach them lessons at church. I also visit sisters regularly and read the messages from our Prophet and leaders of the church and the scriptures with them. I also like to help in the community and am involved in the Music Teacher's organization. I have participated in a play called Savior of the World that shared Christ's message with the community. That brought a great blessing into my life because I felt the spirit many times as we were getting ready and presenting it. I try to live my life by living how the Savior would have me live, using my time wisely and by sharing His message with others.
