Hi I'm Samuel

I am a full-time dad and a full-time college student. I love cooking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a young adult, and a student at a community college, looking to go into the studies of chiropractics. I am a part of a family of four. My father, my mother, my brother, and myself. I am the last child to still be living at home, so I do what I can to support and uplift my parents. My leisure time is spent with friends and family. I love the outdoors, sports, and anything FUN! As most, I work hard to make a living, but I've found that staying busy, keeps me out of trouble. I am active in my church and also in community services, which is how I have found and built many friendships!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church since Iwas born, yet still had to find a testimony of my own. Around my mid-teen years, Isked had to know for myself, as a deciding factor in my life, if this gospel is true. You know what? I did just as many others have, I knelt down upon my knees, and asked our dear Father in Heaven if this was true, and if so, to help me gain a testimony of it. Since then my seed of faith has begun to flurish! Life has never been the same. once you know that this gospel is true, you cannot see life as some depressing thing. Always being positive, and keeping your head held high. How can this be, all because of some beliefs on a Living Savior, and his eternal gospel. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us, enough to send His Son, and to bless us on a daily basis. Christ loves,a nd knows us on a personal level. His authority and gospel is found on the earth today, and in the same place, in The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. This is not "Mormons'" church, but Christs'. I know that He Lives! Oh, what a blessing thatb is to know that! Believing on a simple thing such as that, will change lives, and has already done so. I testify that families are meant to be together forever, and it's possible through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Live it. Love it. Learn more of it! I've become who I am because of this great blessing of having the gospel in my life. Thank you Heavenly Father!

How I live my faith

I have recently returned from a service mission in the South Pacific islands. My assigned area was the Tahiti Papeete Mission. Those two years of service to the Lord and those around me has filled my soul with joy and happiness. I am now a group leader for the men(ages 18-31) in a young adult ward(congregation). I do all that I can to serve those around me. As the others do as well, I go on monthly visits to those in the congregation, to make sure that "all is well" in their lives and households. The best thing that I have found in this church is that the leaders aren't paid for their services. The bishop(pastor), along with the other leaders do this all as part of their srvice and dedication to the Lord. We, as a group, join together to serve those around us, create and strengthen friendships. We serve the community, in service projects to help the homeless, veterans, and the widowed. Lives have changed because of the Love of God that is shared between all people! We recently returned from a canoe float/camping trip, which was organized by the young leaders in our group! A service project of helping a young woman moving in at 930 pm, just happened last night. I was able to attend these events, and leaving both with a feeling of gratitude, has again proved that true happiness is found with Christ centered in our lives.
