Hi I'm Tamara

I'm a born and raised Canadian and I love to spend time in our beautiful rocky mountains. I love Jesus Christ and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have taken 4 years of University and have graduated with a Child and Youth Care Counselor Diploma and a Social Work Diploma. I love working with people and learning about others lives. I love spending time with my family and friends and I espcially love being outside in nature. I am taking a break from my education at the moment and have chosen to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been called by a Prophet of the Lord to serve in the Nashville Tennessee Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and have lived as a Mormon all my life. But even though I was born into this church I had to have my own moment of conversion. As a teenager I took it upon myself to inquire of God if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints really was the same church that Jesus Christ set up when he was on the earth and my Father in Heaven answered my prayers. My answer came as a calm assurance and a peaceful feeling in my heart and I knew that this church is God's church. I have a testimony of this gospel and I know that by following its teachings my life has been blessed. Jesus Christ's gospel has lead and guided me through my life and has answered my questions about the purpose of life. My testimony is my life and gives me purpose to each day. As a Missionary I get to share my beliefs with people daily and every time I testify of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon and of the love Jesus Christ has for me and for all of his children. Every time I bear my testimony I feel that peaceful feeling and I feel that spirit of the Lord telling me again and again that this church does truly have the fullness of the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know the teachings of the church are from God and not man and you can know this too as you ask God in prayer. I know that he will answer you as he has answered me.

How I live my faith

I have volunteered my time to serve in many different area's in the church from secretary in a women's society to chair person of a service committee. My faith influences everything I do in my life from how I interact with people to the clothing I choose to wear. Right now I have chosen to serve as a full time missionary for 18 months in the Nashville Tennessee Mission. As a missionary my role is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holt Ghost, and enduring to the end. This is an amazing opportunity I have to help others learn more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to share my testimony with the world.
