Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in Utah. I am a nurse. I'm a Mormon and am currently serving a mission in Mississippi.

About Me

I am the oldest of three children. I have two younger brothers. I work as a Neonatal intensive care unit nurse. That means that I take care of tiny premature newborns or newborns that are ill at birth or soon after. I love my little patients and their families and being able to help them, for the most part, to grow and go home. I love the mountains, hiking, camping, elk hunting, running, going on long walks, and board games. All of theses things are improved by doing them with family. I love my family. I love to read. I enjoy deep study of the scriptures. Right now I am serving a 18 month mission in Jackson Mississippi. It is the most difficult and also the best thing I have ever done. I love teaching people about Christ and his gospel and seeing them find greater happiness and peace.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and grew up with its teachings. As I got older, I had to ask myself if I really believed that the church or if I was just depending on what I knew and what my parents had taught me. I had to read and think and pray. It took some time but because of the way I feel, I know that the church is true and that it is Christ's church. I know this because of the way that I feel when I am reading the scriptures and keeping the commandments. When I pray about The Book of Mormon, I can feel warmth and love that tells me that it is true. Though I don't have physical proof of by knowledge, I do know it is true and that knowledge is stronger than any other knowledge that I have.

How I live my faith

All that I do is based on the fact that I know Jesus Christ is my savior and that God is my Heavenly Father. I know that they both love me very much. I study the scriptures often, especially Christ's teachings and example. The Book of Mormon has helped me to gain a stronger testimony that he is my savior and to learn more about what God's plan is for me. I follow the teachings of the modern day prophet that God has called to lead us in these days. My family is very important to me. We have had struggles, learned, and grown together. They have taught me a lot about God and about what is important in life. I love knowing that I will be able to live with them forever after we have died. I am currently enjoying one of the greatest opportunities that a person can have. I am spending all my time and energy sharing what I know to be true, with others. The message of the restored church of Jesus Christ is a wonderful one. It brings me great joy to be able to share it. I can feel the love that Heavenly Father has for each of us, and I can feel him guiding me to share this message of love with his children in Mississippi. God never will leave us alone. He is aware of each one of us, no matter how insignificant or unimportant we may feel. He knows us better than we know ourselves and he is watching over us.
