Hi I'm Cindy

I am an avid reader and lover of music. I am a teacher, wife, and mother of 5 amazing children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a mother of 5, life is very busy! Right now the majority of my time is spent taking care of my family, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I am married to a wonderful husband who works extremely hard so that I have the opportunity to be at home raising our children. When employed, I am an elementary school teacher. I have a passion for teaching, and find a great deal of fulfillment in working with and inspiring children. I love to learn myself and am constantly reading in any spare time I have. I also enjoy cooking, crafting, and the outdoors. I love being involved in scouting and sports with my children. Family is my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised attending the LDS church...but that is not why I am a member today. I spent a period of time as a young adult finding my own knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel. Through challenging heartaches, many joys, various trials, and countless blessings, I came to know that the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church on the earth and contains a fullness of the gospel. Jesus Christ is my Savior. There are living prophets today who are guided and directed by Him, and their guidance and counsel are a blessing in my life. The scriptures are true, and the words contained in them inspired wisdom and instruction that strengthen and sustain me every day. There is a promise in the Book of Mormon, that if you will read it with a sincere heart and with real intent, you will come to know of its truthfulness. I testify that promise is real. It happened for me. The knowledge and testimony I have bring me peace and happiness that I have never found anywhere else. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love being able to live what I believe every single day. Whether it is giving of my time in service to my family, friends and neighbors, or just smiling and saying hello to someone while shopping, I recognize the powerful influence for good I can have by trying to be like my Savior. Loving and serving others is a big part of how I live my faith. I also serve in my community by being involved programs for our youth, like sports and scouts. Coaching and leading different groups of kids, loving them and teaching them positive values is an intrinsically rewarding opportunity for me. I also work directly with the youth at my church. I am blessed to be able to share my testimony and talents with them. To teach them about the Savior and his Gospel Plan, and help provide fun and meaningful activities for them to participate in is also very rewarding. Living my faith for me, is a sum of all those things that I do, whether big or small that bring me and those around me closer to the Savior.
