Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My Name is Lindsay, I am 23 years old, and I am from Georgia. I graduated from BYU-Idaho- the most happening place in the country- with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Minor in Marketing. I currently work in Finance at the CDC- Center for Disease Control & Prevention. I love what I do and love living in the South close to family. I am not married and have no children but can't wait for the day when that opportunity comes. I am a very family oriented person and am so blessed to have found a job that is close to them. I love to be active and enjoy doing almost anything. I love going out, running, hiking, and spending time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

In my opinion, every person is a convert. Whether you are born into the LDS church or are introduced to it, there comes a time in your life when you must gain a testimony for yourself and fully convert to that belief. When I was younger, I sought out to learn about other faiths with the possibility of joining. However, no other faith could give me the feeling I received when I attended the Mormon church. I know now with a conviction that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of God and that it teaches the Lord's true Gospel. The Mormon faith teaches about faith, baptism, and repentance. It teaches you to stand for something. I love the quote, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." I know where I would be without this Gospel and am so glad that I am not there. This gospel has brought so many blessings into my life. It promises that we can return to our Heavenly Father and be sealed with our family for time and all eternity. What an incredible gift that is... to know you can be reunited with your loved ones after this life. It is hard to grasp when you first hear the thought of it, but when you come to have faith in it and learn about the Gospel, you receive the confirmation you need that these things are true. In the intro to the Book of Mormon it states, the Book of Mormon..."puts forth the doctrines of the gospel, outlines the plan of salvation, and tells men what they must do TO GAIN PEACE IN THIS LIFE and eternal salvation in the life to come." Isnt that what we are all seeking? Peace in this life? Eternal Salvation? This church has given me what no other religion has been able to give. Peace. Peace is when all is well with that which matters most.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by Gospel living, church attendance, and service. Faith without works is dead. I live my faith by the actions I choose in everyday life.
