Hi I'm Phyllis

I'm a Mormon and a convert. I grew up in Bermuda Island. I was baptized 33 years ago.

About Me

I am the oldest of eight children. My family converted when I was going to college. I have a wonderful husband who honors the Priesthood and we have nine children and 24 beautiful grandchildren. I love the Gospel. It brings so much joy to our whole family. Following the principles of the Gospel each day makes us so happy. It truly is the "iron rod" for us to hang on to in these troubling times. We love sharing what we know with whoever we come in contact with.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Christian home where I was taught to go church every Sunday. When I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints it was easy to accept. The thing that stood out the most to me was that I felt the Spirit so much more! If I missed a Sunday, I felt like I really missed out and I couldn't wait until the next Sunday. Everything that I do in Church helps me to grow spiritually. I love that the Church has the Priesthood! I feel very safe having it in my home. I feel like there is real purpose in my life; I know where I'm from, I know why I'm here and I know where I'm going after death (hopefully). My family can be together forever eternally if we keep the commandments and that's huge!

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is by serving in the Church and in my home and community. I have had lots of callings that help me to grow. I have organized socials for the Ward, served in Young Women, been a den leader for the Cub Scouts, and am currently serving as a Primary teacher for the young children. All these callings help me to be a better person.
