Hi I'm Lydia

I like things simple because life can be so complicated. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am engaged to be married soon and excited to one day start a forever family with my future husband. We'll be sealed in the temple for time and all eternity and receive the promises and blessings that come from the covenants we make with the Lord there. I am a bit of a nutrition/fitness person. I love reading those nutrition labels and seeing the good things I am putting into my body. I am in school for Chemical Engineering. This major is likely to change as I am having a hard time twisting my mind around the physics and math. But get me into a chemistry lab and I'm happy as can be! :) Right now I am taking Spanish to keep up with the major language for the region in which I live. I LOVE gymnastics. What an amazing sport!!! I could watch it all day when the summer Olympics are on!

Why I am a Mormon

Because there is no other way on earth, to receive all that God has in store for us. Having lived outside of church principles (being inactive) for quite some time, I thought life and the world were good to me. What could be better? I was fooling myself. I know this because I've felt and witnessed the difference in my life when I have been active in the church and actively participating. There are so many blessings and people within the church that have enriched my life in ways that no earthly possession or single moment could hold a candle to.

How I live my faith

I recently moved to a new ward and they have been so welcoming! For now I get to sit in church to listen and learn until they ask me to help somehow. Where I used to live I was on an activities community for young single adults. We planned fun evening outings and always had a spiritual lesson prepared for the youth. There were always treats involved or some sort of food....we LOVE our food! :) As youth, we also participated in events that were happening in the community, like park clean up and festivities put on by the city that they needed volunteers for. With our matching shirts, we became a common sight and a requested group within the community.
