Hi I'm Sam

I'm quiet but also loud. I'm bold but tender hearted. I love to make people smile. I'm a mormon.

About Me

There really isn't too much to say about me. I am a regular guy just trying to be happy in life like everyone else. I love sports. Mainly playing them though I am not very good but I also enjoy watching games with my family. Right now I am in the middle of college. Trying to figure out my path just like everyone else my age. I love to work with my hands and I love to figure out puzzles. I'm really into mechanics and like to just tear a car apart for fun and then struggle to put it back together. Through opposition comes our greatest lessons. My definition of fun may be a little different then everyone else but I like to see results from something I have done. I like to see smiles on peoples faces and satisfaction that you have made something. I love to clean because of my job as a janitor that I held for three years. I wouldn't say that I am clean freak but just as I said before there is a certain peace when everything goes from being a disaster to organized and neat. It just feels like a new beginning or a time to start over and I got to do that everyday as a janitor. I was able to give someone or something a new beginning everyday. The chance to do better or to experiement on what works and what doesn't only to try something new the next day.

Why I am a Mormon

I still remember the night that I became committed to this church. I was probably about 10 years old. I lay awake one night just thinking about everything that i had been told about the church in my life. Everything that was being taught to me and everything that it stood for. Obviously at this point in my life I had not read the Book of Mormon nor the promise it contains. But I did remember one thing that one of the Sunday School teachers taught us every Sunday as a little kid. And it was the concept of prayer and talking with our Father in Heaven. As I thought about all the things that I had been told and really contemplated as much as a ten year old can contemplate and grabbed hold of the idea of prayer. And right then and there I decided to pray to Heavenly Father to know if all of this was true. And almost before I could get the words out of my mouth I recieved a confirmation that I can never deny to this day. A warmth of indescribable feeling came into my heart so strongly that I was brought to tears and I knew in my heart and my mind that this was right. Ever since then I have asked again and again and I always receive the same answer. I know that we have a Heavenly Father. I know that I am his child and that he cares about every little detail in my life. I know that he cared so much about me that he gave His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to come and die for me. So that we could return to him. Jesus Christ lives! And this is His church.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. Because this gospel can relate to everything in your life. The gospel of Jesus Christ was given to us today so that it can bless our families and so it can improve every aspect of our lives if we let it. To me that doesn't sound like something you can accomplish in just one day of the week. It's something that should be loved and cherished everyday because it has the tools to make everyday as hard and trying as some are.. Still a good day. As I have tried to stick to the teachings of Christ and the standards he gives in his church I have seen my life blossom. I have seen that the rules and restrictions are not that at all but actually the gates to freedom. As I live these teachings and strive to be better in them everyday I become a better person and also feel as though I have control of my life. I am happy and enjoy the company of others more. My life has a purpose. These are just a few of the things I have noticed from me just trying personally to live what I learn here in His church. I could not even begin nor have room/time enough to share all the blessings I have seen in my life because of His church. I will always be indebted to my Lord, my Savior, even Jesus Christ and I thank him for that. This is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And this is church like none other because it is lead by none other then Jesus Christ himself. We have a prophet that recieves revelation from him on what to do and he has been called of God and given the proper authority to do so. I know this true. I know this to be correct. And because of the answers I have been given from my Heavenly Father, I can never deny that. Nor will anything on this earth ever convince me otherwise. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
