Hi I'm Candace

I'm a Mormon. I am a native Arizonan. I love family history and it is my passion in life along with my family.

About Me

I am a mother of two and a grandmother of four. My family is the central focus of my life. I am a retired accountant and now spend alot of my time helping others with their family history. I have been interested in my ancestors for many years and have been researching them since my children were young. I also love to read and garden. My husband and I both love to walk in the early mornings and use this time to plan our day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I joined when I was 27 and already married. I had a girl friend growing up who was a member and she was a very good example to me. None of my family were members when I joined, but my sister has since joined. I felt the spirit whisper to me that my children would need this church in their lives and so would I. My husband is an inactive member since his youth, but is a wonderful man. I believe in my Savior Jesus Christ and hope to be able to return to live with him one day. He is my rock in life. I believe that Joseph Smith truely saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove and he is the prophet of the Restoration of the Gospel to the earth in this dispensation of the fullness of times. I am so greatful for my testimony and my membership in this church.

How I live my faith

As a member of my church, I attend my meetings every Sunday. I am a Visiting Teacher which means there are two women I am asssigned to visit monthly or whenever needed to help them and be their friend. I am also a family history consultant which means I help members in our church research their family history as needed.
