Hi I'm Paul

I grew up on the Sunshine Coast and I am builder. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my wonderful wife in which we are are currently due to have our first baby, which is a very exciting thing for us. I am a qualified builder but due to the current state I am working at a different occupation. I love spending time with my family they are the best thing that has happened to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith, but that doesn't mean that I believed in it from the very beginning, everyone needs to find out if what they are being taught is true or not. It is no different if you are a non member or a member. I was converted to the Mormon faith in year of 2005. I was working as an apprentice builder at the time and I was struggling with what I was being taught and what everyone else (people outside the church), were doing. I was so confused and frustrated that one afternoon I snapped at my boss. Who was a really understanding and great man. He told me to take the next day off and work out what it was that was making me so grumpy. So I did that after apologizing to him of course. I took the next day off and went for a drive to a very sacred place to me now after this experience. I was walking along a walking trail in the Bunya Mountains mulling everything over in my head when I came to the end of the path overlooking the beautiful landscape of the South Burnett region. I wasn't getting anywhere with my thoughts so I decided to do the one thing that I knew would get results. I wandered off from the path a little ways and knelt in one of the most humble and heart felt prayers that I have ever done. After which I awaited the answer which I knew would come. What seemed awhile but probably wasn't I received my answer and knew that it came from God. The overwhelming joy and peace that came over me was indescribable, and from that moment on I have never looked back. For I know that the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints is His church restored back to the Earth with the fulness of the gospel in the Later days. I know that Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God who did see Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father in that most sacred vision. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and another testimony of Jesus Christ. I know the Jesus Christ lives.

How I live my faith

I am a leader for the young men in our branch, which I enjoy doing. We have activities almost every week of the year where we have lots of fun. I also home teach members of the church to help them with anything that I am capable of doing. I have to admit being a home teacher is one of the best things you can do. Serving your fellow man brings so much joy and happiness into your life. There is a program in the church called "Duty to God" which helps each young man discover what their potential is and become great leaders in the future. It is such a wonderful experience to see the young men fulfill their goals and to see the joy it brings them when they do so.
