Hi I'm Kristyn

I'm a Mormon. Born, raised & living in North Idaho. I grew up without my mom. Now I have the chance to be a mom.

About Me

I am the youngest and only girl of 4 children and when I was 3 years old, my Mother lost her battle with Cancer. That left my father to raise my brothers and me by himself. I won't deny that it wasn't hard. Some days I wonder how we all made it to adulthood. My Father stood as an amazing man of faith. He could have given in to his sorrows, turned his back on the church but he pushed forward knowing that he would see our mother again and that one day we would be together as an eternal family. This knowledge also comforted me growing up too. I graduated High School and felt the need to further my education so I went on to College. There is where I met my amazing husband who is also a member of the church. We married, both finished school, He got a B.S. in Forestry & I a B.S. in Animal Science. Now we have a home of our own and our first child, a girl. We have the blessing of my husband working while I stay home and raise our baby. Getting the chance to be a parent myself has been an amazing blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church. I had the opportunity to be taught the Gospel at a young age and have it enrich me into adulthood. I know that because of what I was taught in the Church it made me different then other youth my age. I am thankful for the guidance and peace that the Gospel brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of our church and I get to teach children 18 months to 3 years old. It's awesome to get to share the Gospel with such eager little minds. They want to play and learn all the time and it has been a joy getting to learn along with them. I also have the opportunity to be our church's choir director. It's amazing how music can invite the spirit so easily and it even can cross language barriers. I'm so glad that I get to share my love for music and others share theirs with me. I get to visit specific sisters in my church to and get to know them and their families. The sisters I visit are now good friends and our families will often get together for activities.
