Hi I'm Bob.

I'm a husband, father, and new grandfather. I love living in Arizona, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into a Mormon family and was blessed with wonderful parents who frequently expressed their love to me through word and action. Their teachings included encouragement for me to gain a personal testimony of Jesus Christ and His Atonement, the Book of Mormon, and living prophets. At age 19, I served a two-year mission in Taiwan. Several years after marrying the girl of my dreams, our family of six ventured to Asia for seven years with my employment. We grew very close together as a family and had some great experiences. My most cherished memories are centered around experiences with my family, whether it be at home, at church, on a basketball court, tennis court, golf course, or vacation. I enjoy a good book, root beer floats, a good movie, and playing games.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in an LDS home and was taught good Christian principles by my parents. As mentioned above, they also encouraged me to gain a personal testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through my reading of the Book of Mormon and personal prayer, I have received a witness through the Holy Ghost that God does live, that Jesus is the Christ and Savior of the world, and that the Book of Mormon is true and can bring us closer to God if we abide by its principles. The knowledge that through the merits and grace of Jesus Christ I can live with my wife and children for ever as long as I live worthy not only brings purpose to life but also tremendous peace to my heart. Another great blessing is inspired leadership through a living prophet. I know that Thomas S. Monson, our current prophet, is a prophet of God just as Moses, Joshua, and Abraham were. The counsel we receive from our leaders is not to be blindly followed but to be prayerfully and practically implemented in our lives. I am happiest when I'm following the principles found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to show my love for Christ and by keeping His commandments. I look for the best in people. I know I'm not perfect, and so I also try to give others the benefit of the doubt. I enjoy serving others through various opportunities in my church, community, and neighborhood. I love reading the Bible, Book of Mormon, and other scriptures. I currently teach adults in Sunday School. It's very fulfilling to prayerfully prepare lessons and lead discussions adapting the scriptures to everyday life.
