Hi I'm Carissa

I'm a Mormon. I just graduated college (yay!) and I am working while my husband finishes his college education.

About Me

I am starting to work now, since I have just graduated. I am helping put my husband through school. I come from a blended family. My mom died when I was about a teenager and my dad later remarried. I love having a big family. I love having sisters to chat and spend time with, and enjoy the sisterly support. I do have one brother, and I love him, but having sisters is a lot of fun too. I was born in to the church and my parents where as well. Many of my grandparents were converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My grandparents laid a foundation for my generation to enjoy a family life centered around the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I love how I feel when I live my based on the gospel principles. I feel more generous and helpful. I feel more peaceful and optimistic. I value my family and cherish my husband more, when I remind my self of why I am here on this earth, living this life. Family is really important to me. My mom died when I was young, and this experience has really shaped my view on family. I am glad to know that families are meant to be together for eternity, and that Jesus Christ made this possible.

How I live my faith

I go to my church on Sundays. There are many people there who have similar situations as me, so it is nice to have friends there. My husband and I have prayers together, read The Book of Mormon, and go to The Temple. I also do these things on my own. We help others in our community and our family and friends. We try to serve others, since Christ spend his life serving others. I try to follow his example the best I can.
