Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Phoenix, AZ but grew up in the San Diego, CA area. I spent my high school years in Escondido, just north of San Diego. I have 3 younger brothers. I attended Brigham Young University and graduated with my Master of Accountancy in tax. I currently work as a tax CPA. I served a church mission to Santiago Chile. My wife and I have 2 boys and a girl. I enjoy playing and watching sports, especially baskeball and golf. I also enjoy doing puzzles and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church and have been a part of it my entire life. In my high school years, I developed a knowledge for myself through the Holy Ghost of the truthfulness of the church. I read the Book of Mormon and was able to pray for myself to know that it is a true book and that it testifies of Jesus Christ. Through that experience, I also know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that through him the true church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth. Because of this knowledge, I have chosen to live the Mormon faith. I believe that living the gospel helps me be the best person I can be and gives me direction in my life. I know I have a purpose in this life. The gospel brings me happiness and a knowledge that I can live with my family and other loved ones forever if I live the commandments.

How I live my faith

I try each and every day to live the standards of the church. I try and be an example of service to others and try to be the best person I can be at home, at church, at work, and in the community. Within the church I've had the opportunity to instruct youth and children, and currently assist my church ward with maintaining church records for the members of the church in my area. This gives me the opportunity to get to know each member of our ward. The gospel helps me in my effort to be a good husband and father.
