Hi I'm Allison

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Allison, and I am a 16 year old girl who loves to paint, draw, read, ride horses, sing, act, dance, learn, and just go on adventures with my Family and friends who I Love more than anything else in this world. above all, my Family and my faith are the most important to me. closely followed by my dear friends. You may get to know me, and all my likes and dislikes and quarky things about me, but unless you know who I surround myself with, you do not know me. because they are a great part of me. and I mean Great. they are all better than I, and though I always try to improve, it will always stay that way. I love what I do, I love my friends, I love my Family, and I love my Family in Heaven- God our Father and Jesus Christ our Brother.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born, I was born into a family that had strong faith in God and our Savior Jesus Christ. my Mom had been a member of the LDS church her entire life, and my Dad was converted in his early adult life. I entered into an LDS family with 6 older sibblings, and from the start, I loved it! my whole childhood, I have been going to church on sunday and other church related activitys during the week, and that has continued on into my teenage years. And belonging to this orginization of the Mormon church, no matter where the army moved us, has truly strengthened my family and I. we have always found our place so quickly and felt so at home wherever we moved, because we had a church family wherever we went, and we had eachother. But the real reason why I am a Mormon, is not because I love LDS people and teachers and leaders that have taught me through my life, or even because my family is part of the church. It is because I choose to be a Mormon. It is because through my life I have learned so much about what the Mormon church teaches, and I know it is the absolute truth. All of the gospel is true. I know this, because I have questioned with boldness, I have searched the words of the Prophets all the way from before Christ was born, to our Prophet today. i have searched the words of the Bible, Old and New Testaments, the Pearl of Great Price, the Doctrine and Covenants of the church and the Book of Mormon, and prayed my heart out to God. And He has answered my many prayers by letting me feel the Holy Ghost to know that what I read, heard and saw, was complete and true. (St John 14:26) i know that He sends His words to us his children through Prophets of old, and new. I know that God and our Savior Jesus Christ live, and that they love each of us, and are waiting for us to return to them after we have done all we can to learn from this expireance on Earth. I write this in His name; Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I as you must know by now, am just a buisy teenager, with little time for much else other than school and sleep. however, I have learned through many examples and much expireance, that you make time for your priorities, they do not fall into your time table. And because sometimes for me, the simplest priority can be seemingly impossible, I therefore do my best to but God first, and all else will fall into place. "For with God, nothing shall be impossible unto you." (St Luke 1:37) Now, that all may have sounded weird to you. You might be thinking "how do you put God first in your life? you cant just pray and stuff all day can you?" If so, keep reading, and it might supprize you how normal it all is. In trying to put God first in my life, I simply do my best to serve the people around me. I help my parents and my sibblings, who all except one have been married, so i take care of their kids when possible. I am in a presidency for the young women in my age group in church, so I help plan activities for them, and help the girls with whatever they need. I just find little ways to help people or make them happy, by doing things like makng cupcakes for them randomly or giving a handwritten letter to let them know how much I love and appreciate them, (I write alot) and just helping people witht whatever they need, even when I dont know them all that well. I do not want you to think Im pretending to be miss perfect or even close! All I can do is my best to serve the people around me, because not only do i want to because I love them, but I also want to because I love my Savior Jesus Christ, and I want to serve Him as much as I can. And I know that when I serve His Bothers and Sisters (everyone we know) I serve Him. (St Matthew 25:45) I have faith in Him, I love Him, and i show my love and faith by serving Him- by putting God and Jesus Christ first in my life. And I will do my best to do better until my better becomes my best, and i finally see His face again.
