Hi I'm Stewart

I'm a husband and a father of 3 daughters who I love to ski with. I work as a podiatrist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm/ranch in Idaho. I am now in private practice as a podiatrist, and a clinical professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. My family loves the outdoors and changes of seasons around Spokane because we can ski in the winter and go to the lake together in the summer.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it gives me the guidance in my life to peace and real happiness. I found that living the precepts taught in the Bible and the Book of Mormon have truly made me a better person. Through the church's teachings my faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ, has grown and I know that He atoned for my mistakes and makes me whole again. I know the church's leader, President Thomas S. Monson, is a prophet right now in the same sense that Moses and Isaiah were prophets in biblical times. He actually receives revelation from God for our benefit.

How I live my faith

I have found great satisfaction outside of my work life when I have volunteered to teach an early morning bible/scripture study class to high school students so they could start their day feeling the spirit of the scriptures before they go to school. I've felt the warmth that only comes from service to others when we do community service projects. These have ranged from visiting people in nursing homes to yard work at a special needs home to renovating a cemetery. Currently I work with the older men in our congregation and help them to reach out and serve another 4-6 families each. I am amazed at the amount of Christian service that these men provide without any outside recognition.
